On September 17, celebrities flocked to Hollywood to celebrate the biggest night in television, bringing together A-list movie stars you're used to seeing on the big screen and small screen stars from your favorite TV shows. Antoni Porowski, better known as the resident food guru on Netflix’s hit show “Queer Eye,” made his red carpet debut this year as a first-time nominee.

To celebrate the momentous occasion, Porowski channeled his inner matador with a Spanish-inspired ensemble complete with a bolero jacket, cummerbund, and chrome boots. With such a bold outfit choice, Porowski's glam team knew his dark brown hair needed to be subtle but equally as eye-catching.

The avocado connoisseur partnered with Baxter of California and celebrity stylist Danni Katz to create a look worthy of Porowski’s award show debut. Katz says the inspiration for this style came directly from the designer of Porowski’s outfit, who suggested a hairstyle with “dry, edgy texture.” Katz created a windswept look with texture and movement to perfectly frame Porowski’s face. While the final result is a hairstyle that looks like one only a professional can accomplish, you can recreate this look in the comfort of your own home with just a few tools and products.

How To Recreate Antoni Porowski's Perfectly Textured Hair

Begin with freshly washed and dried hair. Then, use a water bottle to dampen your strands before you add any hair product. Cocktail Baxter’s Clay Pomade and Water Pomade in your hands and evenly distribute it through your damp locks. Use a blow dryer and a round bristle brush to blow dry the product into your strands and begin to style your mane. When your hair is completely dry, spray a few spritzes of Clay Effect Style Spray and work it through your strands to create a textured final look.

While this is a hairstyle tutorial, every man knows no ‘do is complete without the appropriate facial hair. This wind-tossed look pairs perfectly with any facial hair, but Porowski opted to let his mane take center stage and kept just a slight shadow for his mustache and beard. To make sure his facial hair looked its very best, Katz heavily moisturized Porowski’s face with Baxter’s SPF 15 Oil-Free Moisturizer, Under Eye Complex, and Hydro Salve Lip Balm.
